Safety
Report a reaction.
If this product caused a reaction, we want to know — not for customer service reasons, but because US law requires us to log and investigate every report.
If it's urgent. Stop using the product. If you have trouble breathing, swelling of the face or throat, or a reaction that is spreading fast, seek medical care first. Report to us afterwards.
How to report
Email hello@prettycoded.com and include as much of the following as you have:
- The lot number and expiry date, printed on the bottom of the tube and on the bottom flap of the carton
- Where and when you bought it
- What happened, and how soon after applying
- Where on the body you applied it
- Anything else you applied around the same time
- Whether you saw a doctor
Photographs help but are not required. Keep the product if you can — we may ask for the batch.
What happens next
| Within 1 day | We confirm we received your report. |
| Investigation | We check the batch, the manufacturing record, and whether anything similar has been reported. |
| Record | Your report is logged and kept for six years, as required under the Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act. |
| Serious events | If the reaction meets the legal definition of serious, we file with the FDA within 15 business days. |
| Refund | Automatic, regardless of when you bought it. You don't need to ask. |
Reporting to the FDA yourself
You can also report directly to the FDA through MedWatch, at fda.gov/safety/medwatch. You do not need our permission and it does not affect your refund.
